Description

Quick Easter M&M Blondies are soft, chewy blondies packed with pastel Easter M&M’s, brown sugar, buttery flavor, and white chocolate chips for an easy spring dessert that is perfect for Easter parties, holiday dessert tables, and festive family baking.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 1/2 cups light brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/4 cups pastel Easter M&M’s

1 cup white chocolate chips

2 tablespoons Easter sprinkles, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy.

3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then whisk until fully combined.

4. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt just until no dry streaks remain.

5. Fold in 1 cup of the Easter M&M’s and all of the white chocolate chips.

6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.

7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup Easter M&M’s over the top and add sprinkles if using.

8. Bake for 24 to 28 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the center is just set.

9. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter once the flour goes in or the blondies can turn out heavy instead of soft and chewy.

For the best texture, pull them from the oven when the center still looks just set and not fully dry.

Let them cool fully before cutting so the bars hold together cleanly.
