Description
Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake is a rich, gooey chocolate dessert made with chocolate cake mix, peanut butter cups, pudding, and melty chocolate chips for an easy crowd-pleasing treat.
Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 box instant chocolate pudding mix, 3.9 ounces
2 cups milk
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 cups mini peanut butter cups, chopped
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, optional for serving
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
2. In the baking dish, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until mostly smooth.
3. Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter over the pudding mixture.
4. Sprinkle the chopped peanut butter cups and half of the chocolate chips over the top.
5. Evenly scatter the dry chocolate cake mix across the surface.
6. Drizzle the melted butter all over the cake mix as evenly as possible.
7. Top with the remaining chocolate chips.
8. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the top looks set.
9. Let the cake rest for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
10. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream if desired.
Notes
For the best texture, do not stir the layers once the cake mix is added on top.
If some dry spots remain after adding the butter, gently spoon a little extra melted butter over those areas before baking.
This dessert is best served warm while the chocolate is soft and the peanut butter is melty.
