Description

Lemon Chicken Romano is a crispy, golden chicken recipe coated with Romano and Parmesan cheese, finished with a bright lemon butter sauce. Ingredients

2 large chicken breasts

1/2 cup all purpose flour

2 large eggs

3/4 cup Romano cheese grated

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic minced

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Slice the chicken breasts into thin cutlets and season both sides with salt and pepper.

2. Prepare three bowls with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of Romano and Parmesan cheese.

3. Dredge each chicken piece in flour, dip into eggs, then coat well in the cheese mixture.

4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden and cooked through, about 4 to 5 minutes per side.

5. Remove the chicken and set aside while preparing the sauce.

6. In the same pan, sauté garlic until fragrant, then add chicken broth and lemon juice.

7. Let the sauce simmer for a few minutes, then stir in butter until smooth.

8. Return the chicken to the pan and spoon the sauce over the top before serving.

Notes

Use freshly grated Romano cheese for the best flavor and texture.

Do not overcrowd the pan when cooking the chicken to keep it crispy.
