Description
This Iced Cardamom Rose Latte is a creamy, refreshing coffee drink made with espresso, milk, rose water, and cardamom for a floral iced latte that feels café worthy at home. Perfect for brunch, afternoon coffee, or a pretty summer drink, this easy iced rose latte recipe is smooth, lightly sweet, and full of elegant spiced flavor.
Ingredients
2 shots espresso
3/4 cup milk
2 to 3 tablespoons rose cardamom syrup
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup honey or sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
1 to 2 teaspoons food-grade rose water
1 cup ice cubes
1 teaspoon dried rose petals optional
1 crushed cardamom pod optional
Instructions
1. In a small saucepan, combine the water, honey or sugar, ground cardamom, and rose water. Warm over low heat, stirring until the sweetener dissolves. Let the syrup cool.
2. Brew 2 shots of espresso or prepare 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee and let it cool slightly.
3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
4. Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of the rose cardamom syrup over the ice.
5. Add the espresso and stir gently to combine.
6. Pour in the milk and stir again until creamy and chilled.
7. Garnish with dried rose petals or a tiny pinch of cardamom if desired, then serve immediately.
Notes
Use rose water carefully because too much can make the drink taste overly perfumed.
For a stronger coffee flavor, use double espresso instead of brewed coffee.
Oat milk works especially well in this recipe if you want a dairy-free version with a creamy texture.
