Ingredients
32 ounces frozen fully cooked meatballs
2 cups barbecue sauce
1 cup grape jelly
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped parsley, optional
Instructions
1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, grape jelly, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
2. Add the frozen meatballs to the crockpot and pour the sauce over the top.
3. Stir gently so the meatballs are evenly coated.
4. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, stirring once or twice if needed.
5. When the meatballs are hot and the sauce is smooth and glossy, stir again and garnish with chopped parsley if using.
6. Serve warm as a main dish over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles, or serve as an appetizer straight from the slow cooker.
Notes
Use fully cooked frozen meatballs for the easiest prep and best texture in the slow cooker.
Stir the sauce well before pouring it over the meatballs so the jelly blends more evenly as it cooks.
For a less sweet version, use a smoky barbecue sauce and reduce the grape jelly slightly to suit your taste.
