Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small yellow onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup orzo pasta
1 1/2 cups beef broth
1 cup crushed tomatoes
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
2. Add ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks. Brown fully, then season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
3. Stir in orzo, beef broth, and crushed tomatoes. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender.
4. Reduce heat and stir in heavy cream. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
5. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and incorporated.
