Ingredients
6 large croissants
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup fresh blueberries
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
⅓ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions
1. Slice croissants in half or into chunks and arrange them in a greased baking dish.
2. In a bowl, beat cream cheese with 2 tablespoons of sugar and ½ teaspoon vanilla until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over the croissants.
3. Scatter blueberries evenly across the croissants and between layers.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, heavy cream, remaining sugar, and vanilla extract.
5. Pour custard evenly over croissants, gently pressing them down to soak.
6. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or overnight.
7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden and set.
8. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.
