Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
0.75 cup powdered sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons cornstarch
0.25 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
24 whole almonds or chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Cream together the butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
2. Mix in flour, cornstarch, and salt until just combined.
3. Add vanilla extract and form a soft dough.
4. Roll dough into ovals for bodies; shape arms, legs, and ears from smaller portions.
5. Place a nut or chocolate chip in the center and fold arms to hug it.
6. Use a toothpick to create eyes and nose details.
7. Chill shaped cookies in the fridge for 15 minutes.
8. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 12-15 minutes until lightly golden.
