Description

Yummy Chicken and Biscuit Cobbler is the ultimate comfort food casserole featuring juicy chicken, tender vegetables, and creamy gravy topped with buttery biscuits. A cozy and easy chicken cobbler bake that’s perfect for weeknights or Sunday dinners.


Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken

1 cup chopped carrots

1 cup chopped celery

1 medium onion, diced

1 cup peas

2 cups chicken broth

1/3 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup butter

3/4 cup milk or cream

1 can biscuit dough or 8 homemade biscuit rounds

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion, carrots, and celery. Cook until vegetables are soft.

2. Stir in the flour to coat the vegetables. Cook for 1 minute.

3. Gradually add chicken broth while stirring. Let the mixture thicken.

4. Pour in milk or cream and continue stirring until creamy.

5. Add cooked chicken and peas. Season with salt and pepper.

6. Transfer the filling to a greased 9×13 baking dish and spread evenly.

7. Place biscuit dough evenly over the filling. Cut in half if using large canned biscuits.

8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes, until biscuits are golden and filling is bubbling.

9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Use rotisserie chicken to save time.
