Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough or pizza dough
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
3. Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
4. Roll out the dough on the prepared baking sheet. If using crescent dough, pinch the seams to form a solid rectangle.
5. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
6. Sprinkle both cheeses evenly over the beef.
7. Carefully roll the dough into a log from the long side. Tuck in the ends and place seam-side down.
8. Brush the top with beaten egg.
9. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
10. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use lean ground beef for a less greasy filling.
Don’t overfill the dough or it may split during baking.
Add jalapeños or sautéed onions for an extra kick of flavor.
