Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
0.5 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
20 caramel candies
2 tablespoons heavy cream
0.5 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
2. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, and mix well.
3. Gradually add flour and mix until a soft dough forms.
4. Chill the dough for 30 minutes.
5. Preheat oven to 350°F.
6. Roll dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
7. Gently press your thumb into the center of each ball to form an indentation.
8. Bake for 12–14 minutes, until the edges are golden.
9. Melt caramel candies with heavy cream in the microwave until smooth.
10. Spoon caramel into the indentations while cookies are still warm.
11. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the cooled, caramel-filled cookies.
12. Let chocolate set before serving or storing.

Let cookies cool completely before storing to avoid smudging the chocolate.
