Ingredients
1 lb ground chicken
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 Thai chilies, sliced (adjust to taste)
2 shallots, minced
1 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup Thai basil leaves
1 tablespoon oil (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
1. Finely mince the garlic and shallots. Slice Thai chilies thinly and set them aside.
2. Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic, shallots, and chilies. Stir-fry until aromatic and lightly golden.
3. Add ground chicken. Break it into small pieces and cook until no longer pink.
4. Stir in fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated.
5. Turn off heat. Add Thai basil leaves and stir until wilted.
6. Serve over jasmine rice or in lettuce cups.
