Description

Texas Twinkies Egg Rolls with Honey are a crispy, cheesy, and smoky appetizer made with jalapeños stuffed with brisket and cream cheese, wrapped in egg roll wrappers and fried to golden perfection. Drizzled with honey for a sweet-spicy finish, this twist on jalapeño poppers is the ultimate party snack or game day recipe.

Ingredients

8 fresh jalapeños

4 oz cream cheese

1 cup shredded smoked brisket

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

8 egg roll wrappers

1 cup honey

Oil for frying

Instructions

1. Slice jalapeños lengthwise and remove the seeds for a milder heat.

2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar, and shredded brisket.

3. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese and brisket mixture.

4. Place each stuffed jalapeño in the center of an egg roll wrapper.

5. Fold the sides in, roll tightly, and seal with a dab of water.

6. Heat oil to 350°F and fry egg rolls for 3 to 4 minutes until golden and crispy.

7. Remove and drain on paper towels.

8. Drizzle generously with honey before serving.

Notes

Wrap tightly to avoid leaks during frying.

Use pre-smoked brisket to save time and boost flavor.

Reheat leftovers in the air fryer to keep them crisp.
