Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
1 small onion, diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with diced onion over medium heat until cooked through. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat.
2. In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and sour cream. Add cooked beef mixture and stir to combine.
3. Spread beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
4. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
5. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
6. Bake at 375°F for 40-45 minutes until tater tots are golden and casserole is bubbling.
7. Let sit 5-10 minutes before serving.
