Description

Taco Bell Nacho Cheese Sauce is a creamy, spicy, and ultra-smooth dip perfect for chips, nachos, or drizzled over tacos and fries. This copycat recipe uses real ingredients like sharp cheddar and American cheese, bringing fast-food flavor right into your kitchen.

Ingredients

4 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup whole milk

4 ounces American cheese

1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons pickled jalapeño juice

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter completely.

2. Whisk in the flour and stir for about one minute to cook out the raw flavor.

3. Slowly whisk in the milk until smooth and slightly thickened, about 3 to 5 minutes.

4. Reduce the heat to low and gradually add the American and cheddar cheeses. Stir until melted and smooth.

5. Stir in jalapeño juice, salt, and garlic powder. Adjust seasoning as needed.

6. Serve warm as a dip or sauce. Reheat with a splash of milk to maintain texture.

Notes

Use high-quality American cheese for best meltability.

Adjust jalapeño juice to control spice level.

For a thinner sauce, add more milk a tablespoon at a time.
