Ingredients
1 pound steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank), thinly sliced
8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine work best)
5 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned. Remove and set aside.
2. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain.
3. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Sauté until fragrant. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes. Let simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
4. Add steak back into the skillet, followed by the cooked pasta. Toss to coat everything in the sauce, adding pasta water as needed.
5. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

You can swap in chicken or shrimp if steak isn’t your thing.
Don’t skip the pasta water—it helps bind the sauce beautifully.
