Description

Cool off with this refreshing *Strawberry Sweet Tea*, a Southern classic made with black tea, fresh strawberries, and sweet syrup. Perfect for summer gatherings, picnics, or a relaxing afternoon. This easy sweet tea recipe is naturally fruity, family-friendly, and full of flavor.


Ingredients

46 black tea bags

1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

1 cup granulated sugar

3 cups cold water (plus 4 cups for brewing)

1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Ice, for serving


Instructions

1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil and steep the black tea bags for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool slightly.

2. In a saucepan, combine strawberries, 1 cup of water, and sugar. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10–15 minutes until strawberries break down and the mixture thickens.

3. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing down the solids to extract all the liquid. Discard the pulp.

4. In a large pitcher, mix the brewed tea with the strawberry syrup. Add 2–3 cups of cold water to dilute to your taste and stir well.

5. Chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

6. Serve over ice and garnish with fresh strawberry slices or lemon wedges, if desired.

Notes

Use ripe strawberries for maximum flavor.

Adjust sugar level based on sweetness of your strawberries.

Add fresh mint for a refreshing herbal twist.
