Description

These spicy shrimp tacos are a bold and flavorful dinner idea made with smoky-seasoned shrimp, creamy slaw, and fresh lime. Perfect for taco lovers craving a quick and easy weeknight meal with heat and crunch.


Ingredients

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp salt

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp lime juice

8 small tortillas

2 cups shredded cabbage

1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp lime juice (for slaw)

1 tsp hot sauce

2 tbsp chopped cilantro


Instructions

1. In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp with smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, olive oil, and lime juice. Let marinate for at least 10 minutes.

2. In another bowl, mix shredded cabbage with Greek yogurt or sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, hot sauce, and chopped cilantro. Refrigerate while preparing the shrimp.

3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and slightly charred.

4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft.

5. Assemble tacos by layering slaw, adding shrimp, and topping with extra cilantro and lime juice. Serve immediately.

Notes

These tacos are best eaten fresh but can be prepped in parts ahead of time.

Use corn or flour tortillas based on preference.

Add avocado or mango for a fresh twist.
