Description

This Spicy Cheesy Garlic Butter Chicken with Linguine in Four-Cheese Sauce is a rich and creamy pasta dinner made with seared chicken breast, bold garlic butter, spicy red pepper flakes, and a luscious four-cheese sauce tossed with tender linguine. Perfect for weeknight comfort food or impressing guests.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp paprika

1 tsp Italian seasoning

12 oz linguine pasta

1 1/2 cups heavy cream

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/2 cup shredded fontina cheese

1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese

Instructions

1. Season chicken breast with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.

2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let rest.

3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Sauté garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant.

4. Cook linguine according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

5. Add heavy cream to the garlic butter and simmer gently. Slowly stir in mozzarella, parmesan, fontina, and provolone until smooth. Add reserved pasta water if needed to thin sauce.

6. Slice the cooked chicken. Add linguine and chicken back into the pan. Toss until fully coated and heated through.

7. Serve hot, garnished with extra parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

Use freshly grated cheese for the smoothest sauce.

Don’t skip the pasta water — it helps emulsify and adjust sauce thickness.

Resting the chicken before slicing helps keep it juicy.
