Description

This Savoury Mince recipe is a quick, comforting meal made with ground beef, vegetables, and rich seasonings. Perfect for busy weeknights or freezer meals, this easy dinner idea pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, rice, or toast.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

500 grams ground beef

1 medium onion, finely chopped

2 garlic cloves, minced

2 medium carrots, diced

2 tablespoons tomato paste

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce

1 cup beef stock

1 cup frozen peas

Salt to taste

Black pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

2. Add chopped onion and sauté for 4 minutes until soft.

3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.

4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.

5. Drain excess fat if needed.

6. Stir in tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce.

7. Add diced carrots and pour in beef stock.

8. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens and carrots are tender.

9. Add frozen peas and cook for another 5 minutes.

10. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then serve.

Notes

Use 80/20 beef for maximum flavor and moisture.

Let the mince sit a few minutes before serving for the flavors to deepen.

Add a splash of red wine or chili flakes for extra depth or heat.
