Description
Rigatoni in Garlic Butter Parmesan Cream Sauce with Cajun Steak Tips is a decadent and savory pasta dish featuring creamy parmesan sauce and seared Cajun steak. Perfect for a weeknight indulgence or special occasion. Keywords: rigatoni, cajun steak tips, parmesan cream sauce, garlic butter pasta.
Ingredients
16 oz rigatoni
1 ½ tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 lb steak tips
2 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp black pepper
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook rigatoni until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water.
2. Season steak tips generously with Cajun seasoning.
3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear steak tips for 2–3 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
4. Reduce heat to medium and melt butter in the same skillet. Add garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
5. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add parmesan cheese and whisk until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
7. Add cooked rigatoni to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
8. Return steak tips to the pan, placing them over the pasta. Heat through for 1–2 minutes.
9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for best flavor and texture.
Don’t overcrowd the skillet when searing steak tips—work in batches if needed.
Let steak rest for a few minutes before slicing to retain juices.
