Description

Quick Jumbo Dinner Rolls are soft, fluffy, and fast to make with all-purpose flour, yeast, and warm milk. Perfect for weeknight dinners or holiday meals, these homemade jumbo dinner rolls rise quickly and bake to golden perfection. A must-try for any bread lover!

Ingredients

1 cup warm milk

2 1⁄4 teaspoons active dry yeast

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

1 large egg

1 teaspoon salt

3 1⁄2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

2. Add melted butter, egg, and salt to the bowl. Mix well.

3. Gradually stir in the flour, one cup at a time, until a soft dough forms.

4. Knead the dough by hand or in a stand mixer for 5–7 minutes until smooth.

5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm area for 30–45 minutes or until doubled.

6. Punch down the dough and divide it into 8–10 equal portions. Shape each into a ball.

7. Place shaped rolls in a greased baking dish or on a parchment-lined tray. Let them rise for 20 more minutes.

8. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush rolls with melted butter.

9. Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown.

10. Remove from oven and cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These are jumbo-sized rolls, so one is usually enough per person.

Use all-purpose flour for softness or bread flour for more chew.

Don’t skip the second rise—it helps create that airy interior.
