Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

2 cups broccoli florets

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup soy sauce

3 tbsp honey

1/4 cup water

1 tbsp cornstarch

1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)


Instructions

1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat if needed.

2. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

3. Add broccoli florets and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cover with a lid to steam if using fresh broccoli.

4. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, water, and cornstarch until fully combined.

5. Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir to evenly coat the beef and broccoli.

6. Let the mixture simmer for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.

7. Add sesame oil and red pepper flakes if using. Serve warm.

Notes

Let the stir-fry cool completely before storing to avoid sogginess.

For extra veggies, add bell peppers, carrots, or snap peas.
