Description

Quick 20-Minute Peppermint Patties are easy, no-bake chocolate mint treats made with creamy peppermint filling and a smooth chocolate coating. Perfect for holidays, gifting, or everyday snacking. These homemade peppermint patties are gluten-free and take just 20 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

2 ½ cups powdered sugar

⅓ cup sweetened condensed milk

1 teaspoon peppermint extract

1 ½ cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, mix powdered sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and peppermint extract until a thick dough forms. If it’s sticky, add more powdered sugar.

2. Roll dough into balls, then flatten into discs. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 10 minutes.

3. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave (30-second intervals) or over a double boiler until smooth.

4. Dip each peppermint disc into the melted chocolate using a fork. Let excess drip off, then return to the baking sheet.

5. Refrigerate until chocolate is fully set. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

Keep the patties stored in an airtight container in the fridge.

You can substitute white chocolate for a sweeter variation.

Add a drop of food coloring to the filling for a festive twist.
