Ingredients
4 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
1 ½ cups cranberries (fresh or frozen)
½ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
½ cup old-fashioned oats
⅓ cup all-purpose flour
¼ cup brown sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
5 tablespoons butter, cold and cut into cubes
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced pears, cranberries, ½ cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon flour. Toss to coat evenly.
3. Transfer the fruit mixture to a greased 8-inch baking dish.
4. In another bowl, stir together oats, ⅓ cup flour, ¼ cup brown sugar, and salt.
5. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your hands until crumbly.
6. Sprinkle the topping over the fruit mixture.
7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the fruit is bubbling.
8. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

You can substitute frozen cranberries without thawing.
