Ingredients
1 pound chicken breast
1 cup long grain white rice
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
2 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, chicken broth, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and uncooked rice. Mix thoroughly.
3. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
4. Place the shredded or chopped cooked chicken evenly over the top of the rice mixture.
5. Dot the top with slices or chunks of butter.
6. Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 60 minutes.
7. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the top is lightly golden and rice is fully tender.
8. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving to allow it to set.
