Description

Ingredients

1 French baguette

8 ounces feta cheese

4 ounces cream cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1⁄4 cup hot honey

Optional: fresh herbs or chili flakes for garnish


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Slice the baguette into 1⁄2-inch thick rounds and place on a baking sheet. Lightly brush each slice with olive oil and toast for about 10 minutes or until golden and crisp.

2. In a food processor, combine feta cheese, cream cheese, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

3. Spread a generous dollop of whipped feta on each toasted baguette slice. Use the back of a spoon to create a swoop for the honey.

4. Drizzle hot honey over the whipped feta, allowing it to drip down the sides. Garnish with chopped fresh herbs or chili flakes if desired.

5. Serve immediately for best texture and flavor.

Notes

Use block feta packed in brine for the creamiest texture.

You can prepare the whipped feta up to 4 days ahead and refrigerate it.
