Ingredients
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/4 cup honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp cornstarch
2 cups cooked rice
2 green onions, sliced
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp oil for cooking
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, red pepper flakes, and cornstarch until smooth.
2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
3. Pour the sauce mixture into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir frequently until the glaze thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
4. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss in the glaze to coat evenly.
5. Serve shrimp over warm rice, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
Make sure shrimp are dry before cooking to avoid a watery glaze.
Don’t overcook the shrimp; they become rubbery quickly.
Double the glaze if you love extra saucy bowls.
