Description
This Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Potatoes recipe is the perfect one-pan dinner packed with juicy steak, crispy potatoes, and rich garlic butter. A quick, hearty meal idea for weeknights or special occasions with minimal ingredients and maximum flavor.
Ingredients
1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes
1.5 lbs baby potatoes, halved
3 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions
1. Boil halved baby potatoes for 5 minutes until slightly tender, then drain and pat dry.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add potatoes cut side down, season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook until golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
4. Season steak bites with salt and pepper. Add to skillet in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
5. Lower heat and add butter to skillet.
6. Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
7. Return potatoes and steak to skillet, tossing them in garlic butter sauce.
8. Sprinkle chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
The key to crispy potatoes is drying them well before pan frying.
Don’t overcrowd the skillet with steak pieces to get the perfect sear.
Fresh garlic makes all the difference—avoid using pre-minced for the best flavor.
