Description

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 tablespoons butter

2 large chicken breasts, boneless and skinless

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers

2 tablespoons pepperoncini brine

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.

4. Pour in chicken broth, scraping up browned bits from the bottom. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

5. Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Simmer for 5 minutes until sauce thickens.

6. Add sliced pepperoncini and brine. Stir to combine.

7. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Let simmer for another 3–5 minutes.

8. Serve hot, garnished with extra pepperoncini or fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

This recipe reheats well — add a splash of broth or cream to loosen the sauce.

Use mild or hot pepperoncini depending on your spice preference.

Serve with a starchy base like mashed potatoes or noodles to soak up the sauce.
