Description

These homemade garlic knots are soft, buttery, and packed with garlic flavor. Perfect as a side or appetizer, this easy recipe uses pizza dough, garlic butter, and fresh parsley to create the ultimate crowd-pleasing bread twist. Ideal for serving with pasta, soups, or as a party snack.


Ingredients

1 cup warm water

2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast

1 tablespoon sugar

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil. Mix and knead until the dough becomes smooth and elastic.

3. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

4. Punch down the dough, divide into 12 pieces, and roll each into a rope. Tie each rope into a knot.

5. Place knots on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let rise again for 20–30 minutes.

6. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

7. Bake knots for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.

8. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley. Brush generously over hot knots.

9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container.

Reheat in oven for best texture.

Add a sprinkle of Parmesan or chili flakes for a twist.
