Description
Healthy Chinese Ground Beef Cabbage is a quick, flavorful, and nutritious low-carb dinner recipe with lean ground beef, tender cabbage, and Asian-inspired sauce. Perfect for weeknights!
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef 4 cups shredded green cabbage 3 cloves garlic minced 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated 3 tablespoons soy sauce 1 teaspoon sesame oil 2 green onions sliced
Instructions
1. In a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until no longer pink, breaking it apart into crumbles as it cooks. Drain any excess fat if needed. Stir in minced garlic and fresh ginger, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the sliced cabbage to the skillet and toss everything together. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp. Pour in soy sauce and drizzle with sesame oil, stirring well to coat the beef and cabbage evenly. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Remove from heat and sprinkle with sliced green onions before serving.
Notes
Best served hot, but leftovers keep well for 3 days in the fridge. For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes. Use Napa cabbage for a softer texture if preferred.
