Ingredients
450g ground beef
1 yellow onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
800g crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
475g ricotta cheese
1 egg
200g shredded mozzarella
50g grated Parmesan cheese
9 lasagna noodles, cooked or oven-ready
8 slices mozzarella cheese (for ghost shapes)
4 black olives, sliced for ghost eyes
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
3. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until fragrant and soft.
4. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
5. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with the egg, salt, and pepper until creamy.
6. In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by lasagna noodles, ricotta mixture, shredded mozzarella, and Parmesan. Repeat layers.
7. Cut ghost shapes from mozzarella slices and place them on top.
8. Add sliced olives for ghost eyes.
9. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
10. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
