Description

Garlic Butter Spaghetti with Cheesy Italian Sausage and Spinach is an easy, comforting pasta dish loaded with bold flavors. This weeknight favorite features a garlic butter sauce, cheesy Italian sausage, and tender spinach for a quick yet satisfying dinner.


Ingredients

12 oz spaghetti

3 tbsp butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy), casings removed

1 cup shredded mozzarella or Italian cheese blend

3 cups fresh spinach

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)


Instructions

1. Boil spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water and drain.

2. In a skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and crumbled. Remove and set aside.

3. Lower the heat, melt butter in the skillet, and add minced garlic. Cook until fragrant.

4. Stir in red pepper flakes if using, then add spinach. Cook until just wilted.

5. Return sausage to the skillet, then add drained spaghetti.

6. Toss in the shredded cheese. Add reserved pasta water gradually to loosen the sauce.

7. Serve warm with Parmesan and black pepper to taste.

Notes

Use spicy Italian sausage for an extra kick.

Don’t skip the pasta water—it helps bring the sauce together.

Add extra spinach or mushrooms if you want more veggies.
