Description

This garlic butter shrimp bowl with creamy herb rice is a quick, flavorful seafood dinner idea, featuring buttery garlic shrimp over creamy herb-flecked rice. Perfect for weeknights or guests, this easy shrimp recipe is hearty yet light.

Ingredients

400g shrimp, peeled and deveined

3 tablespoons butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 cup long-grain rice

1/2 cup cream

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Cook the rice in salted water or broth according to package instructions. Once tender, stir in cream, chopped parsley, chopped dill, salt, and pepper. Cover and keep warm.

2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

3. Add the shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until pink and opaque, about 2 minutes per side.

4. Squeeze lemon juice over the cooked shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning if needed.

5. Serve by spooning creamy herb rice into bowls, topping with garlic butter shrimp, and garnishing with more fresh herbs. Enjoy immediately.

Notes

Use large raw shrimp for best texture.

If using frozen shrimp, thaw and pat dry before cooking.

Add a splash of cream to rice when reheating leftovers to keep it creamy.
