Ingredients
2 cups walnuts halves
1 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Instructions
1. Toast walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat until fragrant about 3 to 4 minutes then remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet melt butter and sugar over medium heat while stirring constantly until fully melted and bubbling.
3. Stir in vanilla extract salt and baking soda allowing the mixture to foam slightly.
4. Add toasted walnuts and stir until evenly coated in the toffee mixture.
5. Spread walnuts onto parchment paper in a single layer and let cool completely before breaking into clusters.
