Description
These Famous Crab Bombs are the ultimate seafood dream recipe. Made with fresh jumbo lump crab, minimal filler, and a buttery finish, this easy and elegant Maryland-inspired dish is perfect for a special dinner or party appetizer.
Ingredients
1 pound jumbo lump crab meat
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
1 large egg, beaten
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
tablespoon chopped parsley
2 tablespoons melted butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the crab mixture by gently picking through the crab meat to remove shells while keeping lumps intact. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, beaten egg, lemon juice, Old Bay, parsley, and breadcrumbs. Fold in the crab meat gently until just combined. Shape the mixture into four large balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush each crab bomb with melted butter. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden and heated through. Serve hot with lemon wedges and garnish with extra parsley if desired.
Notes
Always use the freshest crab meat possible for best flavor. Handle the crab gently to preserve the lumps. Reheat leftovers in the oven to keep the exterior crisp.
