Ingredients
1 cup beef broth
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
0.5 teaspoon onion powder
0.25 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional)
Instructions
1. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to a medium saucepan.
2. If using cornstarch, dissolve it in a few tablespoons of the broth first, then stir it into the saucepan.
3. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes.
4. Taste and adjust seasonings: more soy sauce for salt, Worcestershire for richness, or a splash of red wine for depth.
5. Serve warm in a small bowl or gravy boat with prime rib or crusty bread.
Notes
This sauce tastes best when served warm immediately after cooking.
