Description

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

0.5 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

0.5 teaspoon peppermint extract

2.25 cups all-purpose flour

0.25 teaspoon salt

0.75 cup mini chocolate chips

1 cup powdered sugar, for rolling


Instructions

1. Cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Stir in the vanilla and peppermint extract until well combined.

3. Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing just until combined.

4. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.

5. Scoop dough into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 10–12 minutes until set but not browned.

7. Cool slightly, then roll warm cookies in powdered sugar.

8. Once completely cooled, roll again for a snowy finish.

Notes

These cookies freeze well for up to 2 months.

Use mini chips to ensure better distribution and shape.

Double coat in powdered sugar for a prettier, whiter snowball look.
