Description

This easy homemade tartar sauce recipe is creamy, tangy, and made with dill pickles, lemon juice, and fresh herbs. It’s the perfect dip or spread for seafood, fish, and crispy veggies. Ready in minutes and better than any store-bought version.

Ingredients

1 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons finely chopped dill pickles

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Finely chop the dill pickles and fresh dill.

2. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, chopped pickles, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and dill.

3. Add salt and pepper. Stir well and adjust seasoning to taste.

4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Use fresh dill for best flavor.

Let the sauce chill to enhance taste.

Adjust lemon juice for a tangier kick.
