These garlic knots are easy to make, freezer-friendly, and better than takeout. Ideal for family dinners and entertaining, with homemade or store-bought pizza dough.
Ingredients
1 lb pizza dough
4 tbsp unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
1/2 tsp salt
Instructions
1. Roll pizza dough out on a lightly floured surface and cut into 1-inch wide strips.
2. Tie each strip into a loose knot and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
3. Let the dough knots rest for 15 minutes to slightly puff up.
4. In a small saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in parsley.
5. Brush garlic butter over each knot, reserving some for later.
6. Bake at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
7. After baking, brush with remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if using.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the boldest flavor.
You can freeze unbaked knots and bake straight from frozen.
Parmesan cheese adds a salty finish but can be skipped for dairy-free options.
