Ingredients
1 whole chicken (about 3.5 to 4 pounds)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
1. Remove giblets and pat the chicken dry with paper towels.
2. Rub the entire chicken with olive oil.
3. Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and thyme in a bowl.
4. Season the chicken inside and out with the spice mix.
5. Preheat air fryer to 360°F.
6. Place chicken breast-side down in air fryer basket.
7. Cook for 30 minutes.
8. Flip chicken breast-side up and cook an additional 25–30 minutes.
9. Check internal temp reaches 165°F in the thickest part of breast.
10. Let rest 10 minutes before carving and serving.
