Description

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breasts

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter


Instructions

1. Pound or slice the chicken breasts to an even thickness and pat dry.

2. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mix of parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.

3. Dredge each piece of chicken in flour, then dip into the eggs, and finally coat with the breadcrumb-parmesan mix.

4. Pan-fry in olive oil over medium heat until golden and cooked through, or bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway.

5. Serve hot and crispy with your favorite sides.

Notes

Let the coated chicken rest for 5 minutes before cooking to help the breading stick better.

Use freshly grated parmesan for the best texture and flavor.

If baking, lightly spray the chicken with oil for a crispier finish.
