Ingredients
225g linguine
450g ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water.
2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart. Season with salt and pepper, then drain excess fat.
3. Push beef to one side of the pan. Add butter and garlic to the empty side and let sizzle for 30 seconds, then mix together.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce thickens. Use reserved pasta water if needed.
5. Add cooked linguine to the skillet and toss until evenly coated. Adjust seasoning and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and melting.
Don’t overcook the garlic or it may turn bitter.
A splash of white wine adds a bright note to the sauce.
