Ingredients
12 oz fettuccine pasta
1 lb sirloin steak
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional for garnish)
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak with salt and pepper, then sear until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and let rest.
2. Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain the rest.
3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant but not browned.
4. Lower the heat, pour in the heavy cream, and stir. Slowly whisk in parmesan until melted and smooth. Add reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce if needed.
5. Slice the rested steak and return it to the skillet with the cooked pasta. Toss until evenly coated.
6. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh parmesan for best melting and flavor.
Let the steak rest before slicing to keep juices in.
Add pasta water gradually to control sauce consistency.
