Ingredients
2 chicken breasts
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
12 oz penne pasta
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant.
4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
5. Stir in parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Cook until sauce slightly thickens.
6. Cook penne pasta according to package directions. Drain and reserve some pasta water.
7. Slice cooked chicken.
8. Add pasta and cheddar cheese to sauce, stir until melted and combined.
9. Add reserved pasta water if needed to thin sauce.
10. Return chicken to pan and heat through.
11. Serve hot with chopped parsley on top.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan for the best flavor and smooth texture.
Add pasta water gradually to control sauce thickness.
