Ingredients
1 lb chicken breasts
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
12 oz linguine pasta
1 tsp Italian seasoning
2 tbsp chopped parsley
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let rest, then slice.
4. In the same skillet, reduce heat and melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer. Slowly stir in Parmesan until sauce becomes smooth and creamy. Add pasta water if too thick.
6. Add the cooked linguine and sliced chicken to the skillet. Toss to coat in the sauce.
7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for a smoother sauce.
Don’t overcook the garlic to avoid bitterness.
Adjust salt to taste after adding Parmesan, as it’s naturally salty.
