Description

Ingredients

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

2 tablespoons butter, softened

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon paprika or cayenne pepper (optional)

24 green olives, pimento-stuffed and patted dry


Instructions

1. Drain olives and pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, butter, flour, and paprika or cayenne if using. Mix until a dough forms.

3. Take small portions of the dough and flatten in your hand. Place an olive in the center and wrap the dough around it. Roll gently to seal.

4. Arrange the wrapped olives on a tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

6. Bake the chilled olives on a parchment-lined sheet for 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.

7. Serve warm or store for later enjoyment.

Notes

Wrap olives completely to prevent cheese from leaking.

Use cold hands or chill dough slightly for easier wrapping.

Can be frozen unbaked for up to 1 month.
