Description
This Cranberry White Chocolate Tart blends tart cranberries, creamy white chocolate ganache, and a buttery crust for the perfect holiday dessert. Ideal for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any winter celebration.
Ingredients
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
3/4 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon orange zest
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/8 tsp salt, and 1/2 cup melted butter. Press into a tart pan evenly.
3. Bake the crust for 15–18 minutes or until lightly golden. Let it cool completely.
4. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup cranberries, 1/4 cup sugar, and 1 tsp orange zest. Simmer over medium heat until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens. Cool completely.
5. Heat 1/2 cup heavy cream just to a simmer, then pour over 3/4 cup white chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.
6. Pour white chocolate ganache into the cooled crust. Let set for about 15 minutes in the fridge.
7. Gently spoon the cooled cranberry mixture over the ganache layer.
8. Chill the tart for at least 2 hours, or until set.
9. Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
This tart is best served chilled.
For a quicker version, use a pre-made graham cracker crust.
Add a dash of vanilla to the ganache for a deeper flavor.
