Description

These cranberry cream cheese pinwheels with feta and herbs are an easy, festive appetizer made with puff pastry, perfect for holidays, parties, and brunch. Bright, creamy, flaky, and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup cranberries (dried or fresh, chopped)

1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled

2 tablespoons fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or rosemary), chopped

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

1. Unroll the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Roll out slightly to even the surface.

2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese with crumbled feta and chopped herbs until smooth.

3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the pastry, leaving a small border. Sprinkle cranberries on top.

4. Roll the pastry tightly into a log from the long edge. Slice into ½-inch pieces.

5. Arrange slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with egg wash.

6. Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–20 minutes, until golden brown and puffed. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

These are best served warm right out of the oven.

You can prepare the log and chill it ahead of time, then slice and bake.

For extra flavor, try adding chopped nuts to the filling.
